MK Dons have confirmed an approach from Leicester for manager Paul Ince. The offer will remain on the table until Ince returns from holiday when the matter will be discussed. Several national newspapers are naming Ince as favourite for the vacated Blackburn job. Darlington have confirmed the sale of keeper David Stockdale to Fulham.
Shrewsbury may have to wait for their £500,000 bonus for Joe Hart's first international cap after it was revealed FIFA may not sanction Sunday's game as a full international after England used seven subs against the usual rules for FIFA approved matches. The Shrews have also been rejected by Birmingham midfielder Asa Hall, who spent several months on loan at the club and has been released by the Blues. He has been linked with Walsall.

He has rejected a season long loan at a club, believed to be Kidderminster, telling the local press: "As things stand, I am still returning to Oxford when we all report back on June 23. I'm contracted to Oxford and I'll be coming back.". Oldham have signed Bury's 19 year old midfielder Dale Stephens, with a free to be decided. The out of contract player only played a handful of games after coming through the youth ranks at Gigg Lane.

Oxford have reported a loss of £653,000 in their relegation season to May 2007. It was below expected losses of £750,000, with the club's owners revealing that they have agreed a £13million purchase price for the Kassam Stadium. Southend have added three more to the transfer list. Peter Clarke, Simon Francis, and player of the year Nicky Bailey have all been listed after failing to agree new deals. Seven are now on the list at Roots Hall, with five more released.
