News Round Up

Ex-Bull Neil Grayson has joined Unibond newcomers Glapwell. The Nottinghamshire side are in the Unibond League for the first time ever after progressing through the County leagues. Grayson, 43, leaves relegated Stafford Rangers after four years and fifty goals in 150 games. Worcester City have made an ambitious move for veteran striker Paul Peschisolido. The 37 year old is a free agent after being released by Luton.

Halifax will appeal against their forced demotion from the Conference. The split between the Supporters Trust and Consortium bidding to run the club appears to have healed with the pair holding talks. Bradford are trying to nick the Shaymen's fans with a cut-price season ticket deal. Their already cheap £150 tickets are on offer to Halifax residents for just £99 thanks to a sponsorship deal with a local firm.

Accrington have admitted their bid for transfer listed former player Gary Roberts is likely to fail with bigger sides in the running. They have plugged much of the gap left by their sponsors pulling out by signing a new deal with a local company, but are still short in their budget. Swindon are to sign released Swansea defender Kevin Amankwaah. The former Yeovil man failed to make a single league appearance last season.

Carlisle will sell goalkeeper Keiran Westwood after he stalled over a new deal. The 23 year old is out of contract and able to leave for free next summer. Striker Gary Madine is also expected to attract interest from Premiership sides during the summer. Forest Green boss Jimmy Harvey expects Stuart Fleetwood to join Charlton, telling the BBC talks are at an advanced stage.

Brentford are so broke they cannot pay off the contracts of four transfer listed players. The situation may explain why Craig Pead, one of the four, pulled out of a move to Port Vale. Millwall striker Neil Harris has agreed a new one year deal at the club. The 31 year old is six short of their all-time goalscoring record, but only scored three last season. Leeds have admitted speaking to West Brom striker Kevin Phillips about a free transfer move.
