Rotherham's takeover has been finalised, and the club now need to clear their agreed CVA within five weeks to avoid a points deduction. They are in the process of moving offices out of Millmoor, and hope to be fully operational in their new base by the end of the month. Forest Green's Chairman Colin Gardner has stepped down after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. A no-nonense press release from the club admits the diagnosis is not good. Carlisle have signed teenage striker Gary Madine to a new three year deal. The 17 year old is being tracked by a string of Premiership clubs. MK Dons have signed midfielder Peter Leven from Chesterfield on a Bosman free.
Ebbsfleet are giving their owners, My Football Club, the chance to vote on next season's playing budget. The choices are between £8,000 and £10,000 a week, considered a mid-table budget with the lowest of the play-off candidates estimated to have £15,000 a week budgets. Millwall have signed goalkeeper David Forde following his release from Cardiff. The 28 year old spent most of last season on loan in League One.
Hartlepool have signed 20 year old striker Alan Power after he was released by Nottm Forest. The Eire u-19 international played only once for Forest. They have also joined the chase for Leeds forward Anthony Elding, along with Crewe and Darlington, with Leeds confirming that Crewe have had a bid accepted for the former Stockport and Stevenage striker. Halifax's problems will not be on the agenda of tomorrow's Conference AGM as they are no longer classed as members and are not entitled to attend.
Southend have signed Yeovil goalie Steve Mildenhall. The former Grimsby stopper followed Russell Slade to Huish Park but has opted for a three year deal at Roots Hall after turning down new terms there. Walsall are looking to sell their Bescot Stadium home in a sale and lease-back arrangement which they claim will secure the club's future. The club's owner is hoping the local council will agree to a deal rather than a private company, but the council say they don't have the money.
Scunthorpe have rejected a transfer request for wanted striker Martin Paterson. The Northern Ireland international scored 14 times last season as the Iron were relegated and has been the subject of several bids already. Former Bulls loanee Nicky Nicolau will leave Barnet after rejecting a new deal. Northampton have signed Coventry winger Liam Davis on a free transfer.
