On this day in 2007, Steve Guinan became the first signing of the summer.
Signing a two year deal he was the tenth player to commit to the Bulls for the coming season, following Ben Smith in a return to Edgar Street after being told he was not good enough for League One football by Cheltenham.
The past season has been a bit of a nightmare for Guinan, starting just 20 of 53 games and getting just three goals as injury halted his season and loan successes delayed his return to the side. The 32 year old will be looking for a better season this time round, and will be looking to prove the Robins wrong when they visit Edgar Street.
But, back in 2007, it was another three and a half weeks before any more players were announced.
