MK Dons have confirmed former Italy international Roberto Di Matteo as their new boss on a one year deal. The 38 year old has the option of a second year and brings in former Chelsea team mate Eddie Newton as his assistant. Bristol Rovers' trip to Peterboro have been selected for live Sky coverage on Sept 6th, while Carlisle's trip to MK Dons is also live on October 11th.
Darlington are the latest side to scrap their reserve side due to cost issues. Stockport have announced season ticket sales of 3,250 and expect to break the 3,500 mark set in 1997. Yeovil have signed former Huddersfield winger Danny Schofield on a two year deal. The 28 year old spent nine years at the Terriers but was a bit player last season.
Chester have launched a 10 year season ticket for £3000. In return for the investment supporters will get 10 shares in the club and each season a programme for every home match, car park pass, replica shirt, and ticket for an end of season dinner. A current standard season ticket is £270 with no extras.
Carlisle have been sold in one of the more friendly takeovers in recent times. Four existing Directors have taken control of Fred Story's near-75% holding for an undisclosed sum, with the bulk of the rest of the club still in the hands of the Supporters Trust.
