Rotherham have been warned by the Football League that 'time is short' for them to complete formalities on their move to Sheffield and the transfer of the golden share. Walsall have completed the signing of striker Michael Ricketts. The one time England man returns to the club where he started his career. Huddersfield have had a £250,000 package for Ipswich winger Gary Roberts accepted. The former Accrington man was an initial hit at Portman Road before slipping out of the first team picture.

Southend are to fight it out with Walsall for Chelsea youngster Anthony Grant. The 19 year old is available on a free transfer and spent last season at Roots Hall. The Errea Challenge Cup, that the Bulls were invited to play in, has turned into farce after Crystal Palace withdrew from the competition after the group stage, leaving Yeovil to play an under-strength Torquay side with the Gulls facing a Chelsea XI at Plainmoor at the same time. Kidderminster are out of the competition after Chertsey earned a point for scoring against Yeovil.

Carlisle have completed the £1.14million sale of striker Joe Garner to Nottm Forest. Oldham want Stoke winger Demar Phillips on a season long loan. The Latics have confirmed they have ended their deal with major sponsors Hillstone Developments, who went into Administration at the start of the month. They will seek an alternative sponsor to replace what was a club record deal.

Bournemouth's Administrator has confirmed he is still holding some £300,000 in season ticket sales money awaiting a definite outcome of the sale of the club. The money equates to around 1,600 ticket sales with the sale hoped to be definite sometime in the next seven days.
