Trent Deal 'Unlikely'

The return to Edgar Street of Australian full back Trent McClenahan is growing increasingly unlikely, Graham Turner has told the BBC.

Speaking to BBC Hereford and Worcester, Turner said of Trent: "I'm not sure where he is, although he's obviously with the Australian Olympic squad, but whether they are still in Australia or in China I don't know, but I would think it would be highly unlikely now that we would see Trent back here for next season."

Turner does hold out some hope for a deal to bring Gary Hooper back to Edgar Street, but his words suggest the deal is slipping away from the Bulls: "It's something that has been ongoing for some time and I was very optimistic that it would go through, but I think it's right in the balance at the moment."

Turner also reveals talks on a loan goalkeeper: "I'm talking to a Championship club with a view to taking a goalkeeper on a season-long loan and I'm hoping that will go through. There are a number of goalkeepers at Premiership or Championship clubs that managers are prepared to let out on loan and some of them are quite impressive."

The BBC also report that, unlike previously reported in the press, Bradley Hudson-Odoi is only on trial currently although it is unusual for Turner to speak about triallists before signing them.
