Speaking to the official site after last night's game, coach John Trewick was not entirely happy with the performance: "Obviously we gave a very silly goal away early in the game, and I think that gave them a massive lift. In the first half I think they played quite well and we didn't get to the level of performance that we would have wanted.
"The preparation wasn't as it ought to have been for a match situation because the match is part of the training programme. We trained this afternoon. We trained to a certain level for an hour and a quarter and possibly that left the lads feeling a little bit tired."
On Darren Randolph, he added: "We've seen him before and he's played well. He's got a certain quality. We've told him to forget about the error and hopefully he won't be trying to dribble round anybody else in his penalty area, especially when the grass is as long as it is there. He can learn from that, put it behind him. He did make one or two decent saves, and also Craig (Samson) in the second half - caught a couple and made one or two stops as well so it looks as if the two goalkeepers have got some quality.
"We're still looking to add to the squad obviously. To add numbers, help the players we've already got so the next couple of weeks should be interesting."
Meanwhile, the Express and Star has given it's verdict on the Bulls last night:
Graham Turner’s Edgar Street men were generally toothless up front and never seriously troubled Harriers, whose lively performance gave the Aggborough faithful encouragement for the club’s forthcoming Blue Square Premier campaign.
