Alex Jeannin will join Mansfield for the coming season, but Trevor Benjamin will have to wait for an offer.
Jeannin, who was told six months ago he was wasn't wanted at Oxford, is to agree a deal at Mansfield but the deal is being delayed by his agent's busy schedule according to Stags' boss Billy McEwan:
"We are short at left back right now until I can get the Alex Jeannin deal tied up. But his agent is dealing with a big move involving Glasgow Rangers right now which is holding ours up."
Trevor Benjamin won't be joining Chester - just yet at least. He remains troubled by the eye problem that sidelined him for much of the end of last season. Chester boss Simon Davies told the Standard:
"At this moment in time a move for Trevor Benjamin is unlikely. The player needs to sort himself out with his eye problems and until he does then nothing will happen. I know Trevor is desperate to earn himself a contract after a trial period with us, but we're unable to do that right now."
Meanwhile the ex-Bull that never was - goalie Nick Jordan - is set to agree a deal at Exeter. The 19 year old is reported by the ThisIsExeter site to be ready to sign a one year deal at St James Park as their third choice. Manager Paul Tisdale told the site:
"He's a very young player with potential and I have judged him on that. He will be able to develop and fits our environment."
The site says of his stint at the Bulls that he 'was offered a contract by League One Hereford United last month but the deal could not be completed and Jordan was back on trial at St James's Park in time to impress during the 2-0 friendly win over neighbours Tiverton Town.'
