News Round Up

Lincoln's signing of Romanian striker Adrian Patulea, who was spotted running around the training ground with his naked girlfriend on his back, looks dead after his Romanian side demanded a €50,000 fee. 24 year old Patuela, who scored a hat-trick in his debut trial game, is trying to raise the money himself.

Altrincham have reacted angrily after Woking accused Alty fans of bricking their own team coach at Kingfield during their recent game. Cards fans and onlookers blamed the incident on Premier League supporting people who had no game that day, but an official statement from Woking pins the blame for the £4,000 of damage on the 100 or so Alty fans that made the trip.

Cambridge have failed in their latest bid to buy back their Abbey Stadium home. The £4million offer, more than twice the price paid by current owners Bideawhile, was rejected. Carlisle have claimed they made a club record £150,000 bid for Reading bound Irish striker David Mooney. He joined the Royals for a £300,000 deal.

Leicester have given veteran defender Chris Powell a short term contract. The 38 year old has started over 700 games since turning pro 21 years ago. Ex-Bull Andy Moran has joined Colwyn Bay on a months loan from Fleetwood.
