Crewe are set to sign Hibs' former York striker Clayton Donaldson. The one time Conference top scorer has been a peripheral figure for the SPL side since arriving, but has been chased by a number of League One and Two sides. Walsall have signed former Premier League wonderkid Stephen Hughes as their new captain. The now 31 year old cost Everton £3million from Arsenal in 2000 but was given a free transfer just 12 months later, spending three years in the wilderness before a four year stint at Coventry.
