Former trialist Ashley-Paul Robinson has left Carlisle after just five days. He lasted just 45 minutes of a pre-season game with Workington with boss John Ward saying he was struggling to match the pace of the game. Crewe have confirmed they have had a bid accepted for an unnamed striker, believed to be a £200,000 offer for Clayton Donaldson. They have already added Anthony Elding and Calvin Zola this summer. Swindon want winger Kevin Betsy from Bristol City, but his wages are proving to be a problem. The former Wycombe man is available on a free transfer but any deal is dependent on negotiating a settlement on his deal with the Robins.

Bristol Rovers' chairman Ron Craig has stepped down after 16 months for 'a younger man'.
