Webb Future "In The Balance"

Luke Webb's future at the club is in the balance after a further injury setback, Graham Turner told the official website.

Confirming news of a further injury problem as reported earlier for the talented youngster, Turner admitted Webb's future at the club was in doubt after he felt the injury again after a practice match on Tuesday: "We have carried out our contractual obligations, we have to pay him until he's fit. He was declared fit Monday and Tuesday. He's feeling some pain again so it looks as though he's got a deep rooted problem.

"We feel very much for him, he's a smashing lad, and he's worked hard for us. He's got to take stock of what he wants to do now with the future, but it could entail more surgery if necessary. it could be he might have to take time out of professional football."

Turner also noted that Karl Broadhurst would return to training next week, and that Sam Oji came through Friday training OK after missing the rest of the week and is likely to play tomorrow.
