Last night, Leroy Jamieson and Gerry Ali played for Hereford United and, according to many present, both made a useful impression.
Who they both really are remains uncertain but speculation points to a Trinidad connection and perhaps a recent trial at Yeovil.
Last month two Trinidad and Tobago players went on trial at Yeovil and played in several friendlies. Striker Conrad Smith, pictured, has scored nine goals in 25 appearances for the Caribbean side, while midfielder Hayden Tinto has eight caps.
According to Ciderspace, Hayden Tinto and Conrad Smith are the two Trinidad and Tobago internationals. Tinto is a 22 year old midfielder (born August 31st 1985) whilst Smith is a 26 year old midfielder (born April 12th 1982). Both are Caledonia AIA players who have recently trialled for USA MLS side San Jose Earthquakes.
The name Conrad was heard being used by several supporters at last night's friendly game.
As well as Yeovil, Tinto (playing in blue) has been connected with Rotherham. He played for them last Wednesday in their game against Bristol Rovers.
There is also speculation about striker Jerry Ani who played on Tuesday against Southampton and whose identification was confirmed by Graham Turner in a BBC Hereford and Worcester interview. Last night the striker used by the Bulls was named as Gerry Ali.
Some spectators thought he might be a different player! Perhaps Gerry is Smith and Jamieson is Tinto. There again perhaps not.
