Bruno N'Gotty played his first game for the Bulls yesterday less than 24 hours after meeting the rest of the squad.
"Obviously it's difficult to come straight into the side when you haven't trained with the boys," said Hereford United captain Karl Broadhurst in an interview with BBC Sport.
"He met us yesterday (Friday) on the coach and we had a little training session at Burton.
"He slotted in quite well and had a good game."
Broadhurst reviewed the game.
"We came here with a game plan. We know what Leeds are all about. They are all about going forward so we tried to stifle that as much as we could which we did to a certain extent in the first half. We did well and came in with a clean sheet.
"We said at half-time when we get the ball we need to keep it and take the sting out of their attacks.
"If they get a head of steam, they'll get their momentum and they will be like a juggernaut and you won't be able to stop them.
"That's what we are disappointed with in the second half, we didn't play at all on the ball.
"We defended well and Randy has made some good saves and we thought we could hang on here. Then they get the goal and it takes the stuffing out of us.
"But even at 1-0 down we still knew we were in with a chance and we had a couple of shots towards the end."
