Randolph gets a nine

There was little doubt which player stood out at Elland Road yesterday and to be awarded a nine for his efforts was no more than he deserved.

Darren Randolph, Hereford's on loan goalkeeper, was praised by both managers and the press. He was equal to 18 of Leeds' shots on target.

New loan signing Bruno N'Gooty received an eight as did Stephen O'Leary. Toumani Diagouraga, Richard Jackson, Richard Rose, and captain Karl Broadhurst were given a seven each.

Two Hereford players were booked, O'Leary and Broadhurst, for unsporting behaviour.

The gate was 25,676 with about 800 from Hereford (not confirmed) who got behind the Bulls throughout the ninety minutes.

Bottom of Level One:

19 Bristol Rovers 9 0 7
20 Northampton 8 -3 7
21 Crewe 8 -6 7
22 Yeovil 8 -7 7
23 Cheltenham 9 -13 7
