Graham Turner has said that training at Edgar Street this week has gone back to basics after last Sunday's 4-0 defeat at Oldham.
"The discipline from the players has not been good enough and that is one thing we have got to achieve if we are going to win any games," Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"And it's not the discipline in terms of tackles or in terms of yellow cards or red cards, it is the positional play on the field and also the concentration.
"I've said often enough you get punished for your mistakes which often can be a lapse in concentration and some of our positional play has been unacceptable.
"If we start from the basics again and start to try and grind out a few results - be more difficult to beat, be more difficult to score against - then we can start readapting the freedom to let the players go into positions they think appropriate.
"But right at the moment when results are going against you, I believe you have to nail down what everybody's job is and make sure they do it.
"It might not be good enough to beat Brighton but that's what we have worked at this week."
Turner has three players that will miss the game with injuries, Robbie Threlfall, Sam Oji and Moses Ashikodi whilst Stephen O'Leary can't take part as he is suspended.
Ben Smith is expected to take O'Leary's place in midfield.
