Swindon have announced losses of £1.8million for the season to May 2007, when they secured promotion to League One. The combined loss over the past three season for which accounts are available is nearly £4million, with a total debt of over £13million. Conference side Salisbury's players are donating to a £100,000 fundraising target to keep the club on an even keel this season.

Wrexham have named former Wales striker Dean Saunders as their new manager. The 44 year old will combine the job with his duties as assistant to Wales boss John Toshack. Saunders has previously coached the strikers at the Racecouse on an occasional basis. Millwall boss Kenny Jackett has been named Manager of the Month for September.

Cheltenham have signed defender Darren Kenton on contract and taken Leicester midfielder James Wesolowski on loan. Both played for boss Martin Allen during his brief stay with the Foxes. The Robins have also confirmed the departure of defender Jerry Gill to Forest Green. Stockport have signed Newcastle goalkeeper Fraser Forster on loan for a month as cover for Owain fon Williams, who is off on international duty.
