Oldham Athletic will be without several of their first choice players for the visit of Hereford United on Sunday afternoon.
Defender Stefan Stam has a knee injury. Captain Sean Gregan is suspended and right back Neal Eardley is on duty with the Welsh squad.
Recently manager John Sheridan has brought in Wolves' youngster Daniel Jones, described as a 'left-sided flyer', on loan. He is expected to feature on Sunday.
Meanwhile Hereford United manager Graham Turner faces a dilemna deciding who to play in attack. Steve Guinan is unlikely to be fit and last night loanee Moses Ashikodi was taken off with an ankle injury during the first half of the Trophy game against Swindon.
Turner, and it is assumed coach John Trewick, have recently seen Oldham in action.
"We saw them play at Stockport last Friday night. They're very lively up front, a decent side," Turner told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"It will be a tough game but somewhere along the line we have to show the character that will get us out of trouble.
"I think we have the players that can do it."
