Parking Problems near Edgar Street

The Hereford Times has revealed that some elderly residents close to Edgar Street have complained about football supporters parking their cars on matchdays in or close to MacMillan Close causing problems for those living in the area.

The paper goes on to say that one driver even threatened to break a resident's windows when asked not to park. Others have reportedly been abusive.

The Herefordshire Council are looking into the situation.

The paper also says that 'Hereford United declined to comment'.

Two contributers to the paper have backed the residents. One said:

Hereford United could be a good neighbour and remind visitors to the ground over the public address system of the fact that they can use the Merton Meadow car park (for £1 a day that's good value - especially when compared with the cost of seeing the Bulls play).

Another commented:

After all would they like a load of cars parked on their street for a party, l think not.
