Russell to referee at Brighton

Hertfordshire based Mick Russell is to referee Saturday's League One match at Brighton where Hereford United will be the visitors.

Married with three children, forty one year old Russell is a Gas Service Engineer who started refereeing in the early 1990’s, progressing through the South Midlands League to reach the National List of assistant referees in 2000 and was promoted to the referees’ list in 2004.

He last took charge of a Hereford United match in December 2007 when Darlington were the opponents at Edgar Street. The Bulls won the game 5-1.

The previous season he was the man in the middle at Swindon when Hereford United defeated the Robins 2-1 in a League game.
