Club Confirm Murray Move

Hereford United have confirmed the signing of Matt Murray on a one month 'emergency' loan.

The 27 year old - with five England u-21 caps - has played 100 times for Wolves, but the last appearance was 18 months ago due to injury. He has had a series of problems going back eight years when he suffered a cruciate knee injury while making his senior debut in a loan spell at Kingstonian. After taking Wolves into the Premiership in 2003 virtually ever-present he proceeded to miss the bulk of the following three seasons, making only seven starts.

He was again a virtual fixture on the team sheet in the 06/07 season - when he was voted PFA Fans' Player of the Year, Wolves Player of the Year, and named in the Championship Team of the Year - before breaking his shoulder prior to the end of season play-offs, with his last game coming in a 4-1 win at Leicester in May 2007.
