Cheltenham 'Punching Above Their Weight"

Cheltenham are 'punching above their weight' - according to manager Martin Allen.

Speaking to a fans forum last night he was blunt to supporters: "We cannot pay the wages that are demanded by players at this level. This club is punching above its weight and if you don't like it, don't support this club. If you can't accept the situation we are in, go somewhere else."

Allen told supporters of eight strikers, including DJ Campbell and Deon Burton, that he had failed to bring to Whaddon Road while, when asked if he wanted 'revenge' against the Bulls, he was cautious: "Revenge is not a good word to use and sometimes if players are too fired up for a match they don't perform. There are 19 games to go and 57 points to play for starting with three on Saturday and regardless of how we felt about the previous game, that has to be the right way to approach it."
