News Round Up

Leeds failed to sign former Stockport striker Liam Dickinson on loan until the end of the season after their forms arrived at Football League HQ 14 minutes late. Southend and Scunthorpe fans are fuming after referee Keith Hill postponed last night's match between the two sides just 20 minutes before kick-off. He had deemed the match playable in the afternoon.

Swindon have hired covers from Sandown racecourse to ensure their match at the weekend is on. Bournemouth's future is up in the air after millionaire local businessman Adam Murry failed to find the money to secure the purchase of shares agreed with 50% owner Paul Baker. Baker has now opened talks with a second bidder.

Chester had a mini-clearout before the transfer window closed, with five players departing permanently and one on loan. They have just two recognised strikers remaining, with last night's match against Rochdale - watched by just 1,357, having a bench full of untested teenagers. Cheltenham have won their appeal against Damian Spencer's red card against MK Dons, and he will be free to face the Bulls next weekend.
