NFU Mutual to sponsor Carlisle Game

Cumbria is much like Herefordshire in that it is primarily an agricultural and tourist area.

That probably explains why the NFU Mutual together with the local farming community feel that sponsoring a match at Carlisle is worthwhile.

Unfortunately the game they were to sponsor was tomorrow's evening match against Hereford United. But despite the inconvenience of a postponement they have agreed to sponsor the re-arranged match between the two clubs on March 24th.

Whilst the NFU Mutual haven't, certainly in recent times, sponsored a match at Edgar Street, they have helped Bulls News with their fund-raising for the Macmillan Renton Appeal which was set-up to help provide improved cancer facilities at Hereford hospital.

Meanwhile all 2,700 Carlisle season ticket holders are to be given a £5 voucher to be used in their club shop. This voucher is being sent out as a way of paying back the recent VAT reduction.
