"Programme Monthly", the UK's premier programme collecting magazine, has just published its Division One programme of the year awards and guess what..........Hereford United's Bullseye finished bottom!
Some interesting stats:
All clubs charge either £2.50 or £3
The 1-2-3 were Bristol Rovers, Colchester & Brighton
The largest number of pages was 92 pages, the average was 69 and Hereford United had..........40
The largest percentage of non-advert contents was over 79%, the average was 68% and..........yes, you've guessed it, Hereford United were bottom with a miserly 45%
Finally, they produce a rating called "ppp" which is the cost in pence of every page of non-advertising/commercial content, weighted to the size of the page. So in rough terms the lower the "ppp", the better value for money of the programme. The best was Peterborough's at 4.62, the average being 6.41 and...........yes, you've guessed it again! Hereford United was by far the worst value for money at 13.89. Sadly, the next worse was almost twice the value for money as Hereford's, at 7.59.
