Bulls' captain Steve Guinan spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester after this afternoon's game at Crewe.
"During the game we rode our luck at times, they hit the wood work a few times. Sometimes you have to defend resolutely.
"When you get back to a draw late in the game, I thought that was it and we were going to hold on. The lad has hit a 25 yarder and it's gone in.
"The front two were a real handful today and I think we found it difficult to combat them but we've just got to bounce back.
"We got Bristol Rovers and Southend. Everyone knows the score at Bristol Rovers but I thought we did okay on the day apart from their six world class goals!"
Guinan was asked about the penalty.
"I didn't see it. I turned round and I heard all these shouts for a penalty. Sam (Hewson) said it was one of those where it was between chest and arm.
"It's always difficult with ten men but sometimes it spurs you on a little bit more. When they went 2-1 up I thought maybe we'll have another good chance - I thought Simon Johnson could have had a shot late on.
"It was one of those games when perhaps we could have nicked something and got a point but on reflection they hit the wood work I don't know how many times and we were down to ten men.
"If we had got a point it would have been great for us."
