The Bulls handed all three points to Scunthorpe after a sluggish start that left them with an uphill task in tonight's League One match.
Gary Hooper returned to haunt the Bulls again, much as his lack of signature on an Edgar Street contract has done all season, as the Iron ran out comfortable 3-0 winners with a trio of near-identical goals. Even radio co-commentator Matt Baker questioned the lateness of Graham Turner's 87th minute substitutions, calling them '40 minutes too late'.
64 Bulls were in the very low crowd of 3,672 - with Coventy reserve team manager Steve Ogrizovic also in the away end.
