Preview: Carlisle vs Bulls

The Bulls travel up to Cumbria on Tuesday in the hope of avoiding a sixth straight defeat.

Having originally been due to travel to Brunton Park seven weeks ago the Bulls now travel on the back of their worst run of form in 12 years. Back in October Andy Williams' only goal of his loan spell with the Bulls secured a win over the Cumbrians, shortly before they dispensed with the services of manager John Ward.

The Cumbrians have recorded just one win in the last eight matches, gaining just six points from that run - the same total as the Bulls. Their home form is equally poor with no wins in their last six games at Brunton Park. They are just three points above the drop zone, and have relied heavily on the goals of Danny Graham - but the 15 goal top scorer is on a barren run stretching to ten matches.

The Bulls go north looking to score for the first time in five games since Toumani Diagouraga scored against Crewe. They have averaged just five shots on target in each of the last four blank matches with their opponents managing double that and scoring ten goals. With six of the eight sides playing tomorrow in the relegation mire, three points will be desperately required.

Carlisle United vs Hereford United, Brunton Park, Tuesday 24th March, 7.45pm.
