The one bright point from tonight is that results at the wrong end of League One largely went the Bulls way. Brighton remain two points ahead of the Bulls after losing 3-1 to Saturday's opponents Southend, with Swindon within reach using games in hand after a 3-2 loss at Colchester. The target is currently 38 points, where three sides now sit. Yeovil slip to 20th after a 4-0 defeat at Leeds, with Crewe moving up to 19th after getting a 1-1 draw with Walsall, while Northampton slip further down the pile with a 1-0 loss at Millwall. Leyton Orient are up to 17th and six points clear after beating Carlisle 3-1.
At the top Leicester play tomorrow, with Peterboro closing the gap to nine points with a 2-1 win over Scunthorpe. They are now five points clear of third place MK Dons after they could only draw 1-1 with Huddersfield. Stockport beat Hartlepool 2-1 in the other match to remain in touch with the play-offs.
In League Two Brentford beat Barnet 1-0 to stretch their lead to seven points. Chester cut admission prices but could still only muster 1,235 as they were thumped 5-1 by Rotherham. Shrewsbury drew 0-0 at Aldershot. Grimsby return to the drop zone after Bournemouth beat Exeter 3-1, with the Cherries also going above Chester.
In the Conference Cambridge kept up the pressure on Burton with a 2-1 win over Mansfield, while Histon lost again. Kidderminster closed the gap to the play-offs with a 2-0 win over Crawley, but are seven points short with up to three games in hand. Forest Green drew 1-1 at Wrexham.
