Barebones Bulls Battle But Beaten

The Bulls edged closer to the trap door with a 4-2 loss at Hartlepool, but the result was not what the effort deserved.

Naming the sixteen fit players at his disposal, Graham Turner was forced to hand a debut to goalkeeper Jose Veiga. The rookie, making his Football League debut, had a nervous game and when he was beaten by a 25 yard speculative shot after just nine minutes the writing seemed to be on the wall.

Febian Brandy and Marc Pugh both scored equalisers before a quickfire late double finally saw off a hard working Bulls side. 89 Bulls fans were announced as being present, but the gap to safety remains ten points with games disappearing fast.

Full report later.
