John Trewick appears to be relishing the chance of managing Hereford United. In an interview with Trevor Owens for BBC Hereford and Worcester Trewick said he had been the assistant manager at Edgar Street for five years.
"Graham Turner is a large personality both in the town and at the football club. To follow him was never going to be easy but I think the time is probably right now that I step in.
"I want to trade on his experience and managerial know-how to, hopefully, guide us to a good season next year."
Owens mentioned that sometimes clubs can go down and struggle the next season.
"That often happens. It can happen more readily when you have got the same players to carry on with the following year. That might not neccessarily happen here.
"I've got the opportunity to change things around a little bit.
"It will be difficult to bounce straight back, nobody is forecasting or promising any of that. We'll certainly be trying to finish as high up the league as we possibly can.
"I love football. I'm enjoying my role at the football club so far. This has given me something different to think about."
