Aldershot have signed released Shrewsbury defender Ben Herd on a two year deal. The right back spent four years with the Shrews after being released from Watford. Grimsby have signed ex-Swansea striker Chris Jones on a three year deal. The 19 year old made a total of 15 League appearances for the Swans and Cambridge on loan without scoring. Oxford have netted at least £500,000 after ex-player Dean Whitehead moved from Sunderland to Stoke for a minimum £3million. It will help offset some of their losses for the coming season.

Notts County have dropped Vandanel as their kit supplier just one year into their two year deal. The club had agreed a deal in April for the sportwear manufacturer to be their shirt sponsor for the coming season but that has also been scrapped. Chester have handed ex-Accrington chairman Eric Whalley the title of Director of Football.
