Walsall will provide stern test

Walsall are the visitors to Edgar Street tomorrow as Manager Trewick uses this final opportunity before the opening League 2 match at Morecambe to tinker with the squad and formations.

The Saddlers finished last season in a respectable League 1 thirteenth place and have added to their squad during the close season. Veteran 'keeper, Clayton Ince, has signed a new one-year deal and has competition from Rene Gilmartin while former Swindon defender Jamie Vincent has joined to add experience the back division.

Another addition comes in the form of former Birmingham City and Grimsby winger Peter Till. Also joining is striker Sam Parkin from Luton and former Burnley attacking midfielder Steve Jones along with ex-Northampton defender Mark Hughes. Box to box midfielder Josh O’Keefe is another incomer, the 20 year-old arriving from Blackburn Rovers.

The notable departure from the Bank's Stadium was Anthony Gerrard who was sold to Cardiff.

The Bulls are expected to field their currently strongest XI with the possible inclusion of a surprise new central midfielder with the remaining trialists having one more chance to impress.
