With over 40 applications received for the manager's post vacated by former Bull Jimmy Harvey, The Gumpers Chairman Trevor Horsley is expected to name the new Boss tomorrow.
Player-coach, David Brown, has been in caretaker charge since July before Harvey was eventually sacked in August but it is not known if his name is on the shortlist.
A Club statement said Horsley "will be making a final decision in the next 24 hours as to a new appointment." Defending the delay in confirming an appointment, the statement continued; "It is only right that the new man at the helm will be chosen for the long-term aspirations of the club and not as a knee-jerk reaction to the start of the season."
The manager-less club were on the wrong end of a seven-goal pasting at Cambridge last weekend, face Hayes and Yeading tonight and host Ebbsfleet on Saturday. Edit - tonight's game finished goal-less.
Bulls News will try to publish the obligatory photo of the new manager's scantily dressed dream date in due course.
