Grimsby Manager, Mike Newell, may be struggling to find more than a few substitutes for his bench on Saturday as further injuries and another suspension effect his already depleted squad.
Club Captain, Matt Heywood and fellow centre-back Paul Linwood both picked up injuries in Saturday’s 4-0 defeat to Port Vale. They join an already lengthy queue for the Clubs treatment room with nine senior players now unavailable and a further three suspended.
The Mariners will be without both first-choice strikers as Adam Proudlock and Barry Conlon continue with their three match bans and they are joined by Danny Boshell who was dismissed at Port Vale following a challenge on former Bristol Rovers winger and part time hair stylist Lewis Haldane.
Newell will be trawling the loan market this week in the hope of netting some additions to his squad ahead of The Bulls weekend visit to Blundell Park.
