Both managers spoke to the press after this afternoon's match:
Firstly Gary Whaddon:
"The lads kept plugging away, I think we played really well today, and we deserved that in the end. To concede so early we could have possibly fallen apart, perhaps last year we would have done.
"We could even have gone on to win it, but its a point gained when you're 2-nil down. Never underestimate a point."
Secondly a very disappointed John Trewick:
"We got ourselves in a position to win the game. To let a two goal lead slip is absolutely devastating.
"I don't know when we went 2-0 up whether one or two just took their foot off the gas a little bit.
"We knew the formation, or we thought we knew the formation, and we wanted to try and stifle their game as well as getting in a position where we might have gone over the top or in behind and we got a penalty from that when Lee ran in and got a corner.
"And we got a goal on the break with Tristan.
"We got in a position when you've just got to see out the game and we haven't.
"We should have kept the ball and ran the clock down. It's common-sense."
