With Hereford United going to the Recreation Ground on Saturday Aldershot manager Gary Waddock has recently seen the Bulls in action.
"I saw Hereford recently at Portsmouth in the Carling Cup and they are a solid, compact side and have some decent players in the squad. At some stage they are going to record their first league victory of the season and we need to ensure that it is not this weekend. They have been at a higher level and have a new manager in there who will have new ideas," Waddock told the Shots.co.uk
"We need to build on our success at Grimsby on Saturday to make that result even more important. We are looking to be consistent. We have picked up some good points but those games have gone now. Confidence is important though and winning matches helps this process and gives you belief. We are always on the front foot at home and with the backing of the crowd we are looking forward to the match."
Meanwhile former Bull John Grant is hoping for a start on Saturday. He last played against the Bulls, and scored one of the goals, at the Walkers Stadium in 2006 when Hereford gained promotion to the Football League after deferating his former club Halifax
"I'd love to get a chance against Hereford. I scored against them at The Shay and also in the play off final too. I was disappointed with my return last season scoring just six goals but that is all behind me now. These things happen but now my concentration is all about the future."
