Aldershot Manager Disappointed

Reaction from Aldershot manager Gary Waddock to tonight's defeat in the Trophy at Edgar Street.

"We played well throughout and deserved something from the match. We had good possession in periods as they did and when it came to a penalty shoot out it is a lottery. The players that went up for the spot kicks were brave enough to do so," said Waddock as reported on Shotsweb.

"I was pleased to score late on with Louie Soares goal because we kept going to the end and we were disappointed to have conceded late on because we felt that Louie was not allowed to get back after being cautioned from a free kick and it caused a problem.

"I had to change the actual line-up at the hotel. Clark Masters was due to play but he has a virus and some players did not travel due to illness.

"Overall It was a good match to watch and Hereford are a stronger side than the one we played a few weeks ago. The players that did play in this match could not have done any more. It is, however, disappointing to go out of the competition because we gave it our all."
