Friendly against Cardiff City Tomorrow

Hereford United manager John Trewick appears to believe in plenty of friendlies for his 'reserves'. Seldom does a week go by without one being arranged.

Tomorrow it is the turn of Cardiff City to visit Edgar Street. And whilst the Bluebirds are expected to bring several of their first team to the game, it's uncertain as yet what sort of team Trewick will choose as there is the Paint Trophy game against Aldershot this evening.

Cardiff are reported to want to loan out several players and these are likely to take part in the friendly to which several scouts have been invited despite the game being played behind closed doors. Players who might be available include Josh Magennis, Aaron Morris, Miguel Comminges, Riccy Scimeca, and Warren Feeney.

Their team is expected to contain Hereford born Aaron Wilding, the young midfielder who isn't too far from a first team position.

The Cardiff City line-up (according to the Western Mail) could be: Cardiff City: P Enckelman, J Santiago, K McNaughton, G Gyepes, A Morris, T Capaldi, P Quinn, S Taiwo, R Scimeca, M Comminges, W Feeney, A Wildig, I Farah, K Edwards, J Meades, Z Evans, N Jarvis, J Magennis.

Meanwhile John Trewick has an injury/illness crisis at present according to the Worcester News.

Ryan Valentine (groin), Darren Jones (illness), Darren Dennehy (ankle), Keith Lowe (hamstring), and Danny Blanchett (ankle) are also doubts for tonight's game against Aldershot.

Midfielders Glen Southam, Jonny Godsmark (both broken hands) and Craig Jones (back) remain sidelined as well as striker Lee Morris (groin).

“We have to wait until a couple of hours before kick-off. It’s just something that needs to be given as much time prior to making any decision on the team,” said Trewick.
