Bournemouth lead the table by a single point after they lost 2-1 at home to Chesterfield who move up to ninth and just five points away from the Cherries. Dagenham beat Darlington 2-0 to go second, level on points with Rotherham. Rochdale (4th) leapfrog Barnet (6th) after their 2-1 win over the Bees with Aldershot, 4-1 winners over Morecambe, between them. Shrewsbury (7th) lost 1-0 at home to Port Vale, and will slip out of the play-offs if Notts County win tomorrow.
Down the bottom Darlington are eight points short of safety, and Torquay two. Grimsby remain deep in trouble after their 2-1 home loss to Burton, with Morecambe a point ahead. Northampton's 2-2 draw at Bury keeps them level on points with the Bulls, with Macclesfield a point better off after losing 1-0 at home to Lincoln. Cheltenham's slide down the table continues after a 4-0 loss at Accrington sees them down to 17th, while Crewe's 3-2 win at Bradford pushes them into mid-table.
In the Conference leaders Oxford hammered Grays 5-0 to stretch their lead to nine points. Stevenage are second after a 4-0 win over Hayes and Yeading. Kidderminster lost 2-1 at home to Luton, while Forest Green lost 5-2 at home to AFC Wimbledon. Chester had two sent off as they lost 1-0 at home to Rushden in Jimmy Harvey's first match in charge.
