Townsend Makes Management Move

Former Bulls defender Quentin Townsend has stepped into the assistant manager's role at Bromyard Town.

He played just ten times for the Bulls in the relegation season of 1996/7, and has replaced Bernard McNally who joined Hednesford in the wake of Pegasus Juniors' FA Cup win over them. Bromyard are currently second bottom of the West Midlands League Premier Division, where they have been for most of the last ten years.

Ex-Bull Nigel Vaughan is also changing jobs, or at least leaving one. He is one of four people to be leaving jobs with Shrewsbury's youth system where he was Head of Youth Development.

Meanwhile former trialist Marc Manga has joined Rochdale on non-contract terms until January. The 21 year old Frenchman played a couple of reserve matches for them in recent weeks after spending most of the summer with the Bulls.

Finally Robbie Threlfall is also on the move - this time to Darlington for a month long loan. The Liverpool defender came to Edgar Street twice on loan, and is joined at the club by former Leeds striker Noel Whelan. The 34 year old played for Harrogate Town last season.
