Chester Players Refuse To Train

Chester's squad has refused to train today over unpaid wages.

Strong sources have confirmed that the players are in talks with the PFA over their rights after not being paid for some time, while the club are also in talks with the PFA over a loan to cover the outstanding wages.

Manager Jimmy Harvey is also reported to have stayed away from the club today with rumours suggesting he hasn't been paid since he arrived at the club. Former Bournemouth owner, and former Chester director, Paul Baker told the Devachat forum he had been told three players were also seeking loan moves away from the club.

The club have only around a dozen senior professionals fit and available after they lost their three loan players due to financial problems. They have their rearranged deadline for meeting footballing debts on Monday.
