Former Sutton United striker Gavin McCallum is hoping Hereford United manager John Trewick will give him a chance to play when the two teams meet this afternoon in the FA Cup at Edgar Street.
"I got 19 goals for them last season but I should have got a few more," McCallum told the Worcester News.
"I did quite well and the manager Paul Doswell was good to me.
"I would love to play today. I think every player in the world wants to play against their former club and I would be delighted to take part.
"It doesn’t matter what league you are in when the first round of the FA Cup comes around, it is always a massive day.
"We are definitely looking for a win which will kick-start our season and get the crowd going."
