Grimsby have loaned striker Michael Coulson from Barnsley for a month. The 21 year old has just finished a spell at Chester, where he scored once in five games. They have also taken Hull midfielder Nicky Featherstone for a month. Featherstone has made a handful of sub appearances, two of them in the Carling Cup this season. Chesterfield have loaned young striker Jordan Bowery to Barrow until January. He has been a regular sub for the Spirites this season, scoring once in 16 appearances.

Rochdale boss Keith Hill has admitted he may have to sell players in the January window in order to balance the books. He has already had to sell Adam Le Fondre this season to keep an even keel. The Dale have signed Hull midfielder Will Atkinson on loan for a month. Notts County have been turned down by defender Elliott Ward after Coventry told him he could leave.

Darlington have signed midfielder Jonathan Hogg on loan from Aston Villa. The 20 year old joins until January. Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander doesn't expect to make any January moves due to budgetary restraints. Rotherham have confirmed the signing of free agent Gary Roberts on a month long contract. The Millers have failed in a loan move for Leeds striker Enoch Showumni as the player wants to move abroad.

Ex-Bull Sammy Igoe will take on a part-time training schedule as an ongoing knee injury is causing discomfort, but Bournemouth's transfer embargo means they cannot do without him. Chester's players are reported not to have trained on either Tuesday or Wednesday this week, with strong rumours that many of them have not been paid.

Chesterfield defender Gregor Robertson has been released from hospital, a week after suffering a serious leg break in their JPT match with Carlisle. He is expected to miss the season, and will see a specialist next week. Cheltenham have ended the loan of midfielder Oliver Bozanic early after Reading and the Robins agreed the player would not recover from injury before the loan expired in January.

Recent FA Trophy winners Burscough are six weeks away from closure according to supporters. Wealthy backer Chris Lloyd, who funded their FA Trophy run, has walked away from the club leaving the Supporters Club as the only resource - and their money will run out by Christmas. Northampton have signed Middlesboro midfielder Josh Walker. The 19 year old has captained England from u16 to u19 level, and has played in Europe for Aberdeen during a loan spell last season.
