Grimsby caretaker boss Neil Woods has been named as their new permanent manager.
Woods, who was the youth team boss at Blundell Park prior to Mike Newell's dismissal, has signed a deal until the end of next season. He has been in charge for six first team games, earning draws in each of the last three League games but dipping out of the FA Cup to non-league Bath City.
The Mariners' last League win came ten games ago at fellow strugglers Torquay, and they have scored only once in the last four games.
