Former Hereford United winger Lionel Ainsworth has all the assets to make a career for himself at Huddersfield says manager Lee Clark.
"I look at Shaun Wright-Phillips and Aaron Lennon and they aren't quicker than Lionel and they don't have a better technique than Lionel," said Clark.
"What Lionel has to do, and I've spoken to him about this and he understands, is to take the form he shows on the training ground into matches - because that is where it counts and determines whether you stay in the team.
"I have every faith in Lionel. Before I became manager here I saw him play for Hereford, and my first match in charge here was against Hereford and Lionel was very impressive - which is one of the reasons we decided to bring him here.
"We have seen his ability in flashes, but we now need to see it on a more consistent basis because he is a fantastic athlete, frighteningly quick and he possesses great technique with either foot."
