Imps Expect First Green Outing

While the Bulls' Green struggles with injury, Lincoln hope to have their own Green fit to play tonight.

Full back Paul Green, who also wears no.2 for the Imps, has missed seven months with a hip injury, but is part of the squad to travel to Edgar Street. The 22 year old former Aston Villa trainee hasn't played since April after spending most of his three seasons at Sincil Bank prior to then as a first team regular.

The Imps will be without forward Paul Connor, and loan pair Anthony Pulis and Sergio Torres. Former Cheltenham forward Connor hasn't played since early September while he, Pulis, and Torres will all miss the Christmas period. In the squad for tonight's game is Notts County loanee Delroy Facey, who is on his 14th club in 13 years, and Fulham loan defender Adam Watts, who played in the Northampton side that beat the Bulls last term.

Manager Chris Sutton, who has brought in a dozen players since his arrival, doesn't expect too much of a transfer kitty in the transfer window and, with the club struggling at the wrong end of the table, he expects to struggle to spend the money he is given:

"It's not going to be easy getting players in during January. We don't have the money to buy players and, given our position, who would want to come here? But we're going to do all we can. Hopefully with the contacts we've got, we can get one or two players in. It's not going to be easy, but I knew that when I took the job on."
