Joan Fennessy has been working at Hereford United for 30 years. Now Vice Chairman of the club as well as company secretary, she started in the office back in 1980.
In those days Frank Lord was the manager.
The other managers she has worked alondside are Tommy Hughes, John Newman, Ian Bowyer, Colin Addison, John Sillett, Greg Downs, John Layton, Graham Turner and currently John Trewick.
Perhaps surprisingly she has only worked with two different chairmen at the club. When she started Peter Hill was in charge and current chairman Graham Turner took over from him.
Along with Turner she purchased shares in the club in June 1998. At this time she became a director of the club and was appointed company secretary two months later.
To have worked at Edgar Street for 30 years is probably a record and some achievement considering the nature of football and the difficult times the club has been through.
