Norwich have said they will sue the News of the World after the paper claimed the club would enter Administration this week. The paper said that if major investment was not found the club would be forced into proceedings by Thursday with Ernst Young and KPMG briefed to handle matters. Two weeks ago the club announced losses of £5million last season, and that £3million was needed for next season.
Shrewsbury have released striker Omer Riza by mutual consent. The former Arsenal trainee has started just one League game since being cleared to play in April thanks to a series of injuries. Cheltenham are to release veteran defender Drissa Diallo, who has not featured for the first team since December 1st.
Notts County have said they expect to name a new manager for the club on Monday. Any appointment could be linked to impending news on new investors, although several papers still report Sven Goran Eriksson to be within days of leaving the club.
